Our notable engagements include:

  • Representing a statutory body in a dispute in excess of $75 million concerning the construction of utilities;

     

  • Advising and drafting an operations and maintenance contract for a floating mega-watt generator set for the then-largest shipyard in Labuan Sabah, Malaysia;

     

  • Acting in a dispute concerning additions and alterations to a penthouse unit along Arthur Road involving, amongst others, various design defects and breaches of the Building and Construction Act and subsidiary legislation;

     

  • Advising close to twenty penthouse owners on the design defects of their properties and possible remedies against the developer, the architects and the MCST;

     

  • Advising a main contractor in a project for the re-cladding of a good class commercial building at Raffles Place.  The project sum was in excess of $11 million;

     

  • Acting for owners in a multi-million dispute concerning additions and alterations to a good class bungalow;

     

  • Taking over conduct of a claim involving a temple along Paya Lebar Road.  The quantum in dispute was in excess of $500,000.00;

     

  • Acting for a sub-contractor in a dispute concerning one of the first installations of pneumatic waste systems in Singapore in a private condominium situated along Thomson Road; and

     

  • Acting for a group of shophouse owners over the failure of a retaining wall behind their property against a statutory body in a dispute in excess of $300,000.00.
