Employment Consultancy

In addition to our employment disputes practice, our team is also experienced in assisting clients in the non-contentious aspects of employment law to ensure that their HR practices and documentation comply with Singapore law and the advisories and guidelines published by the Ministry of Manpower and the tripartite partners. This practice includes advisory services on practical aspects of employment law and HR, where our lawyers are also qualified HR practitioners with certification from the Institute for Human Resource Professionals and are members of the Singapore Human Resources Institute.

Our range of offered services include:

  • Advising on various employment arrangements such as secondment arrangements and remuneration schemes

  • Advising on transfer of employees

  • Conduct of training for employee and management levels on topics such as employment law in Singapore, recent advisories and guidelines published by the Ministry of Manpower and tripartite partners and prevention of workplace harassment and discrimination

  • Drafting employment contracts for employees of all levels and independent contractor agreements

  • Drafting employee handbook setting out company policies, employee entitlements and benefits and employee obligations

  • Drafting anti-harassment policies, grievance, investigation and disciplinary policies and whistleblowing policies

  • Drafting non-disclosure agreements, restrictive covenant agreements and confidentiality agreements
  • Drafting and updating of company policies and safe management measures during the Covid-19 pandemic in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Manpower

  • Reviewing HR documents such as employment contracts, employee handbooks and hiring policies to ensure compliance with Singapore law and the Ministry of Manpower’s requirements for employers

  • Managing Union matters, collaboration and relationships
